An energetic team of playworkers, dancers, actors and childcare professionals; we create amazing play areas and entertain children and families at festivals, birthday parties, weddings and fun days. We also organise holiday clubs and school workshops.
Most importantly, we champion children to be the most totally awesome versions of themselves. This mission keeps our team sailing in the same direction. We’re proud to call ourselves SuperPirates.
OUR STORY
Humble beginnings - Super Pirates’ roots go back 13 years to a tiny after school club in Somerset. Back then it was just a little job on the side for our founder, Jason. Focusing on play and letting kids be kids, it was pretty popular. Some children enjoyed it so much they wanted us to organise their birthday party. And thus, a snowball of fun times began growing.
Fast forward and SuperPirates is now a team of twenty or so actors, dancers, teachers and playworkers. We run events all over the country, all year around. And we run a little chain of after school and holiday clubs.
In 2023 we opened The Awesome Studio in Frome. We consider it to be a laboratory of play and creativity, hosting all kinds of playful events for all ages. It’s also a venue for hire.
Lots of people tell us ‘you should franchise’. Right now, that doesn’t feel right for us. We are all about offering the highest quality service, staying light on our feet, constantly improving our offering, and employing only the very best people.. When companies franchise, the homogenise, they must compromise - they seem to lose something special. And we’re determined to offer something really, really special. We’ll never compromise on quality.

On a mission with his team to help kids be their most totally awesome selves!
Qualified Level 3 playworker. He’s also a PADI Rescue Scuba Diver and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Jason grew up wanting to be in the Royal Marines but somehow became a SuperPirate instead!
Sarah
Executive Assistant | Clients Relations Manager
A qualified teacher, Sarah discovered Super Pirates at a local event and knew she just had to get involved.
She’s the one building relationships with clients and finding us new business, as well answering your emails and making sure the team knows where to go.
Sarah loves a good musical and Disney film. She’s a military wife and has two gorgeous young children!
Fintan
Director of Outdoor Play & Learning
A qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader, as well as a qualified teacher. Passionate about getting people into nature, Fintan keeps the soil fresh underneath our fingertips.
Fintan is a hobbyist magician and is a massive Star Wars fan.
